The Start of Something New

Five weekends left.

In under six weeks I board my first flight. A flight that represents the toughest decision I have ever made; to leave family, friends, work behind to pursue my passion to see the world. With no return date and only a rough plan, 2015 really is going to be the start of something new.

Thanks to stupidly cheap Air Asia flights I booked back in February, the itinerary looks like this;
  • Adelaide to Singapore, 25 Jan 2015
  • Train to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, late Jan
  • KL to Osaka, Japan, 5 Feb
  • Osaka to Bangkok, Thailand, 25 Feb
  • Overland travel for the next 3-4 months through SE Asia
In between Christmas, New Years, farewells and goodbyes I think the next 38 days are going to fly by, which is both exciting and a little frightening!

I feel like I have to take this opportunity to say thank you; without the support of the people in my life this whole adventure would not be possible.

Thanks to my parents, for allowing me to live rent-free... and probably some other stuff...

Thanks to Steve and Hank, and Abigail and Laura, for providing the inspiration to motivate me to undertake this adventure.

Thanks to Vito and BCS for being supportive and not kicking my ass out the door too quickly!

Thanks to my mates, you know who you are.

Last but not least, thanks to Mathew for agreeing to accompany me on this journey, not that it took much convincing..
